30th National Children’s Month Celebration

The LGU of Pura, headed by Mayor Freddie D. Domingo, celebrated the Municipal Children’s Congress in accordance with the 30th year of National Children’s Month with the theme “Kalusugan, Kaisipan at Kapakanan ng Bawat Bata Ating Tutukan!” on November 16, 2022, at the COC Multi-Purpose Arena.

The celebration focused on the mental health and well-being of the children, which is crucial to holistic development and fulfilling their rights. In line with that, Mr. Joe Myrence T. Mendoza, a Licensed Psychometrician, gave a short orientation seminar entitled “The mind matters too: Supporting Children’s Mental Health.” Moreover, PMSg Carolyn T. Camarillo presented a brief orientation regarding the project “B.E. C.A.R.E.F.U.L.”

Likewise, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, headed by Ms. Analiza A. Campo, graced the said celebration by conducting activities participated by all Child Development Centers in the Municipality of Pura.

3rd Place – Poblacion 2 CDC

Calisthenics:

1st Place – Singat CDC

2nd Place – Buenavista 2 CDC

3rd Place – Estipona 2 CDC

In addition, Municipal Vice Mayor John Paul M. Balmores and the members of Sangguniang Bayan delivered their messages, amplifying the importance of children’s rights to survival, development, protection, and participation in the new normal setting.

Remember, we must continue to develop and nurture children to be better citizens in the community!
