44th NATIONAL DISABILITY PREVENTION AND REHABILITATION WEEK

“Ipagpapatuloy ko ang mga programa para sa mga mahal nating PWDs.” – Mayor Domingo
As the LGU of Pura celebrates the 44th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week, the MSWDO, thru its PWD Office, steered a seminar on “Orientation on the Benefits and Privileges of PWDs, the purpose of the Philippines Registry of Person with Disability (PRPWD), and the type of disability that qualify for obtaining ID” on July 21, 2022, at Pura Activity Center.
Engr. Leocadeo S. Naelgas, Provincial PDAO Officer, served as the Resource Speaker. He discussed the benefits and privileges of PWDs and the different legal mandates of PWDs, and the type of disability that qualifies for obtaining IDs.
With the theme “Working with Government in
Achieving Equal Access to Education, Employment
and Livelihood towards Empowerment of Persons
with Disabilities”, this celebration aims to empower
PWDs through responsive policies, programs, and
services of the government.
In his message, Mayor Domingo reassured our beloved PWDs that he would continue to support the programs and activities of the PWD Association of Pura.
The said activity was attended by the PWDs of Pura, led by the PWD Federation President Ms. Josephine V. Taduan, Hon. Teodora Robino and Barangay Officials.
Again, let us continue advocating the rights of Persons with Disability.
