ACCESS TO TUBERCULOSIS PROGRAM, FREE CHEST X-RAY SERVICES

This year, the Department of Health and Rural Health Unit of Pura adapted the theme “TARA’T MAGBAYANIHAN! TB AY TULDUKAN!” which aims to increase the public’s awareness of TB risk factors, signs and symptoms, preventive measures, and the importance of early diagnosis and proper treatment to avoid drug-resistant TB and other complications in our municipality.
In this regard, we encourage everyone to join us in commemorating National TB Day through an onsite screening (chest x-ray, signs and symptoms) and testing.
Target participants in this activity are:
• TB contacts
• Smokers
• Diabetic patients
• Tricycle drivers, and
• People with cough for more than two weeks.
It is a three (3) day activity from September 21 until today, September 23, 2022, to be held at PURA RHU from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.
