Barangay Singat is one of the 16 barangays in Municipality of Pura Tarlac. Sa legal na basehan ang Barangay Singat ay itinatag noong 1908. Ang pisikal na anyo o lokasyon ay humigit kumulangdalawang kilometro mula kabayanan ng Pura Tarlac.

The livelihood of the residents comes mostly from farming and fishing, only few are professionals, while others are laborers and OFW’s. The main products of the inhabitants are rice, corn, magoes and vegetables.
