COVENANT SIGNING, UNITY WALK FOR PEACE SET IN PURA, TARLAC
The Pura Municipal Police Station, led by PCPT Robert G. Pablo, Officer-In-Charge, steered the Unity Walk and Signing of Peace Covenant for 2022 National and Local Elections on February 9, 2022, held at St. Antoninus Parish Church, Pura, Tarlac.
Rev. Fr. Andres Paragas officiated the mass, after which, all political aspirants were enjoined to participate for the recital and signing of the “Tipanan Para sa Matapat, Maayos at Mapayapang Halaan 2022”
The said activity was attended by Mrs. Merlita Q. Rodriguez, Municipal COMELEC Officer III, Mr. Bryan N. Rivera, MLGOO VI, Dr. Marilou F. Santiago, District Supervisor, CPT Jay-ar G. Concepcion, 3rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion, political aspirants vying for elective positions from Mayor, Vice Mayor down to Councilors of this municipality, various religious leaders and other sectors of the society.
The activity is a concerted effort of the Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Commission on Elections (COMELEC), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Education (DepEd), various religious sectors and other non-governmental organizations (NGOs). This is a part of advocacy to promote peaceful, orderly National and Local Elections 2022 and it aims to solicit unity and commitment from political candidates of the Municipality of Pura and other stakeholders for Secure, Accurate, Free, and Fair Election (SAFE).
