ELA AND CAPDEV FORMULATION: WHERE THE MUNICIPALITY OF PURA IS HEADING FOR THE NEXT THREE YEARS

The Municipality of Pura formulated its Executive-Legislative Agenda (ELA) for 2022-2025 in Pura Activity Center last July 7-8, 2022.

The Local Government Unit, headed by Municipal Mayor Freddie D. Domingo and Municipal Vice Mayor Atty. John Paul M. Balmores, together with the members of the Sangguniang Bayan, LGU functionaries, PNP, BFP, and representatives from CSOs, were the participants of this two-day seminar workshop.

The keynote speakers were from DILG Provincial Office, headed by Provincial Director Armi V. Bactad, CESO V, and LGOO VII Renalyn D. Iglesias.

ELA is a medium-term plan which harmonizes the priority Executive and Legislative thrusts and agendas. During his message, Mayor Domingo said that the LGU of Pura will sustain its vision from the last ELA and prioritize its citizens’ utmost needs and welfare.

“Hindi natin ito magagawa kung hindi tayo magsasama-sama at magtutulungan,” he said, inspiring everyone to support and participate and show the same dedication to attain the vision.

Together with the Formulation of ELA is the CapDev Formulation as well. Mr. Bryan N. Rivera, LGOO VI, and Engr. Abegel A. Pagatpatan spearheaded the seminar workshop throughout the two-day activity. The participants were grouped into five sectors: Institutional, Social, Economic, Environment, and Infrastructure. Each sector, according to their prioritized needs, created a casual loop, and then later, their outputs were presented.

For the past three years, the Municipal Government of Pura has done everything to put the municipality into the limelight of progress and development. A once-obscure town is now one of the municipalities with leading economic growth and progress in the province and has received distinctions not only from Region but also to National.

The LGU is confident that the ELA 2022-2025 and the CapDev Agenda will guide this administration towards achieving its aspirations and goals.
