Gender-Responsive Planning and Budgeting for F.Y. 2023

The GAD Focal Point System (GFPS), headed by the Executive Committee Chairperson Mayor Freddie D. Domingo, steered the GAD Meeting today, February 15, 2022, at the SB Conference. Mr. Joe Myrence T. Mendoza and Engr. Abegel A. Pagatpatan, GAD coordinators, made the said activity a venue to craft the LGU’s GAD Plan and Budget for F.Y. 2023, present the GAD Accomplishment Report 2021, and tackle the GAD PPAs for 2022. GFPS catalyzes gender mainstreaming across the organization to ensure that in its development, there is equality in the participation and empowerment of its people towards effective implementation of gender-sensitive strategies for equality services to its clientele.

This is in line with the efforts of the LGU in mainstreaming gender perspectives in local planning, programming, and budgeting, local legislation, project development implementation, monitoring, and evaluation are under R.A. No. 9710 or the Magna Carta of Women.

The GFPS Meeting was attended by our Municipal Vice Mayor Concepcion A. Zarate, LGU functionaries and employees, PNP of Pura, and CSO representatives.
