GULAYAN SA BARANGAY PROGRAM

On June 29, 2022, the distribution of garden tools and vegetable seeds to Barangay Nilasin 2nd was organized by the LGU of Pura, headed by Mayor Freddie Domingo, for the “Gulayan sa Barangay Program” under the Department of Agriculture – High-Value Crops Development Program. It is in line with the current collaboration of Regional, Provincial, and LGU regarding the said program.

It aims to empower the Filipinos by enhancing their capability to produce their food through the adoption of various technologies on food production through the community’s collective effort.

Gulayan sa Barangay is not only focused on vegetable production but also has components such as seed production and household replications that will surely attain the expansion and sustainability of the program.

The said program was organized by the Municipal Agriculture Office, headed by Ma’am Adoracion Dayag.
