INAUGURATION AND OATH-TAKING CEREMONY OF NEWLY ELECTED OFFICIALS
“Coming together is the beginning. Keeping together is progress. And working together is a success.”
To celebrate this momentous occasion, the event commenced with Eucharistic Celebration officiated by Rev. Fr. Andres Paragas and Rev. Fr. Charles Capinpin, followed by an honorable processional march. The singing of the National Anthem and Awit ng Tarlac was led by school heads of DepEd Pura District, headed by Dr. Marilou F. Santiago.
The newly-elected Vice Mayor, Atty. John Paul M. Balmores delivered his welcome address, pinpointing the importance of working together despite political differences. Furthermore, Vice Mayor Balmores challenged the newly elected members of the Sangguniang Bayan to continue what the administration started, “honest and transparent government.”
The inaugural ceremonies continued with a presentation of the newly elected officials of the LGU of Pura, presented by Mr. Bryan N. Rivera, DILG-MLGOO.
In addition, the Local Government Unit of Pura’s newly elected officials were sworn into office in an oath-taking ceremony today, June 30, 2022, at the Pura Activity Center, with Judge Regina Balmores-Laxa as the inducting officer.
Additionally, for his inaugural address, Mayor Freddie D. Domingo started his message by presenting the challenges faced by the municipality during his first term. However, despite difficulties, the collaborative efforts, and the resiliency of its people, the locality was able to overcome these predicaments. Mayor Domingo also mentioned that the problems faced by the municipality gave an avenue for the LGU to continue delivering excellent public service. He urged everyone to work hand-in-hand, and the welfare of the people must be the top priority. Lastly, he expressed his utmost gratitude to everyone who continuously helped and extended their help during his term.
A photo opportunity took place after the program. It was attended by the family and friends of the newly elected officials, LGU functionaries and employees, PNP, BFP, Barangay Councils in Pura, different CSOs, and fellow Puranians.
Indeed, it was a grateful day. Let us be united as one family; together, we can make the Municipality of Pura a tremendous and progressive municipality.
Agyamin kami Apo! Ariba, Pura!
