Municipal One-Day Feeding Program

The LGU of Pura, led by Mayor Freddie D. Domingo, successfully conducted its simultaneous one-day feeding program in the municipality on December 16, 2022. A total of two hundred seventeen (217) were identified as beneficiaries in the said activity.
In his message, Vice Mayor John Paul M. Balmores restated that they will continue strengthening LGU’s programs to counter malnutrition in the locality. “Bukod sa edukasyon, mas pagtutuunan natin ng pansin ang kalusugan at nutrisyon ng mga bata.” he added. VM Balmores also reminded the parents to look after their children’s nutrition.
The Municipal One-Day Feeding Program is the concluded activity of the 13-week supplemental feeding program of the LGU, which successfully addressed barriers that impede children from accessing a healthier life, and regulated the effects of malnutrition among the beneficiaries.
The Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS), in collaboration with the 16 Barangay Nutrition Scholars, facilitated this program.
