The Local Government Unit of Pura, led by Mayor Freddie D. Domingo, commemorated World AIDS Day
The Local Government Unit of Pura, led by Mayor Freddie D. Domingo, commemorated World AIDS Day on December 1, 2021, to show understanding and empathy to all people living with HIV and AIDS. The lighting of candles concluded the said commemoration, which served as a tribute and prayer to all victims.
World AIDS Day remains as relevant today as it’s always been, reminding people and governments that HIV has not gone away. There is still a critical need for increased funding for the AIDS response, to raise awareness of the impact of HIV on people’s lives, to end stigma and discrimination, and to improve the quality of life of people living with HIV.
This Gender and Development activity was joined by RHU personnel and LGU employees.
