The Special Program for Employment of Students
The Special Program for Employment of Students, or SPES, was again initiated by the Municipality of Pura, through its Public Employment Service Office (PESO). Another twenty-three (23) college students were enrolled and assigned to different departments in the LGU, where they will work for 20 days. This program, which is also part of the Gender and Development PPAs and in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), aims to provide employment to students in order to supplement their families’ income and allow them to continue their education.
